Spring has sprung and so has my duster. It only feels like a month ago that I had my last super clean. For me, spring cleaning is not just about de-cluttering and clearing out the cobwebs, I find it therapeutic. I have a little bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder so cleaning all the skirting boards with a toothbrush (yes, my family thinks I’m bonkers) is a great release. If it can be washed, dusted or polished I do it, I empty every single cupboard, throw things out and organise everything to perfection. It’s not just about the cleaning it’s a perfect time to throw out old towels, chipped plates and clothes that can go to charity. Nothing feels better than a clean and organised home and office; I’m ready for another productive 12 months. The only thing is it drives Hubby bonkers as he can’t find anything.

How do I get started with spring cleaning? Let’s start with cleaning products. The Clean Collective has an extensive range of natural cleaning products, everything you need for a sparkling home. Products include surface sprays, glass cleaners, toilet gels, floor cleaners and my favourite, room fresheners.

Getting rid of dust and dirt is a workout on its own, that’s why a good vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment is a must. Over the years I’ve tried buying the cheaper vacuums, but they just couldn’t handle the workload. I highly suggest investing in a good quality one. I bought a Shark vacuum a few years ago and it is still going strong. Dyson and Electrolux both have great reviews too. You can check out The Good Guys and find the one that is right for you, plus you’ll earn up to 3.5% Cashback.

Mopping, sweeping and dusting are next on my list. Dr Fussy is an all in one which is great as I don’t have a lot of storage in our laundry. With the telescopic handle, it helps me to clean hard to reach places, like walls, cabinets and the hard to get to corners. You can buy Dr Fussy from Crazy Sales for under $40 and earn 4.9% Cashback on your purchase.

The house is now spotless, so it’s time for a little organising. I start with a list of the storage solutions I need for each room; kitchen, bathroom, laundry and bedroom. This stops me from impulse buying because there are so many amazing storage solutions and I can get a bit carried away. Storage at our place is very limited. Baskets are a great solution & look great. I have them everywhere; one in the loungeroom with our throws, one in the bathroom with all the bath towels one under the stairs with our shoes.

CASHREWARDS has so many retailers that have great indoor and outdoor storage solutions including Adairs, eBay, Amazon, Spotlight, Zanui and many more. The best part about your spring cleaning efforts is that you’ll earn Cashback on the things you need to get your home decluttered and looking and smelling fresh.

Happy cleaning and hooray for Spring!
